Summer in the City. Houston Mini Sessions

For anyone who knows me, you know I don’t really do minisessions much, but I have been thinking about opening up a day of minis for a couple years now to utilize my absolute favorite little location…I thought it would be a PERFECT spot for minis. And I am sooo glad I did because I really think it worked out well & I had a blast with these families. I love how each session was in the same place but had such a different & unique feel. All of the kids had their own personalities & interests, were different ages & gender…but they were all so much fun! I had the privilege of working with good friends that go way back, newer friends, & repeat clients who I have grown to absolutely love.

Isn’t my friend Jenny an awesome boy mom? Sword fighting & playing with her boys! She even let them squirt her at the end – well squirt is an understatement…she was pretty much soaked!

These kids are all so sweet. This is my second time to work with them in the past couple of months…Lamont & Sandra THANK YOU – I was so happy to get to see you again. I can’t believe how much Audrey has grown up in such a short time!

And sweet Roman…aahh…love him! I got to photograph Roman when he was a wee newborn here. And now he is ONE! Janice & I go way, way back…I LOVE getting to see her & catching up SO much. I’m so glad I got to wrap up Roman’s first year by taking his one year pictures…thank you so much Cooper & Janice!

What a great group I had…thank you so much you guys for being so wonderful. Muah!

Colie - These are fabulous Kelly! I don’t miss Texas heat but I do miss Texas.

alexa & i met last january at menil. i saw her hanging out with all of her dogs & we started talking. i had my crazy kids with me & garrett kept looking at her dogs saying how cute they were. i noticed she was taking a picture of her doggies so i asked if she wanted me to take one of all of them together. i loved alexa the second i met her so i was super excited to get a call months later from “alexa at the park!” i knew that her other half would be awesome just like alexa…and i was right! dominik was so nice to hang out with too. you guys are two peas in a pod…well two peas, 5 dogs & ten cats 🙂 and i loved every second of my time with yall! thank you for being such kind hearted, loving people. so glad to have met you!

jake. magic hour foundation session

i don’t think this family knows just how much i’ve been looking forward to meeting them for months & months. i have been following jake’s journey on their blog & felt like i already knew them. i knew they would be awesome & they were. the hickfords are all so inspirational in their outlook on life, their strength, courage, their faith…there was such a sense of togetherness with this family & their love showed right away. they were all laughing, joking & celebrating the beauty of all being together.

and wow…what an amazing young man. jake – you are so courageous. you should be so proud of yourself for what you are enduring & how you still continue to make people around you smile everyday. you are one SPECIAL child. an inspiration to all. i can’t wait for you to be able to look back & have all of this be a distant memory so that you can be done with all of this you’re going through & feel like yourself again. i LOVED my time with you & can’t wait for our beach trip. you just tell me when you’re ready sweet boy & i am there! i can’t wait.

please continue to pray for jake & for jake’s family. if you don’t know jake’s story please read about it on his blog here so that you can follow his journey & keep him in your prayers. thank you magic hour foundation for giving me the opportunity to work with this amazing family.
