one is fun. birthday photographer

this is isaac. he is awesome. he likes to eat (no way, me too!). he LOVES sugar. he is a wicked dancer when the right song is on (namely pit bull and a certain sesame street counting jam). he loves his dog, ricky & throwing him the ball. he laughs in such a cute little way that it’s contagious! he likes his paci. he plays with cars & trucks like he’s a big boy. and he’s turning ONE soon!

oh and one more thing…his mom is a good friend of mine from college. we met playing soccer at a&m. (isaac, when you get older, call me & i’ll tell you all of mom’s secrets 😉 angela & victor, you guys are awesome & so much fun! thank you for asking me to do this! and melissa…thanks SO much for coming out to be a dog/baby wrangler…you helped us SO MUCH!

christmas present. bellaire lifestyle & portrait photographer

i am one lucky photographer. i know it sounds cliche, but i mean every word of it! the people i work with are incredible & this family was no exception. just being in their presence made me want to be a better parent & person because that’s just how awesome ryan & courtney are 🙂 they’re patient, down to earth, fun, positive, laid back & so classy. all of their awesomeness shows in their kids, too! oh my gosh, they are fun & so cute. they have a #4 on the way & i am so excited for them!

from the second i met you all that night before the session, i have been so excited for your session to come! walking up to your front door & seeing all those angelic faces watching me through the window was precious!

you’re probably saying in your head “christmas present? huh?” well…a session with me was courtney’s christmas gift. ryan & i were planning this surprise long ago & when christmas rolled around & the secret was out, then courtney & i started planning. i am so flattered to have been your christmas gift, courtney…i’m feeling so lucky that i had the opportunity to work with all of you. thank you from the bottom of my heart for picking me to be your wife’s gift, ryan! i don’t think i could love your family any more than i already do!

so onto the pictures…this was my favorite kind of session: lifestyle AND portraits. they had lots of fun. they read books, ate fruit ON TOP of the counter :), snuggled & tickled, pretended to jump on the bed (because these cuties are rule followers & i was informed that they ARE NOT allowed to for real jump on the bed!), acted silly, were allowed to be kids…and then we went to a field of bluebonnets to play!

what. a. fun. day! a perfect day! i love windsen & ashley. i knew they were going to be awesome before i met them because i felt like i already knew them through all the friendly emails & phone chat & i was right! they both have the most ecstatic personalities & beautiful smiles. somehow those smiles got even bigger when they saw each other for the first time that day. they are two peas in a pod for sure! i felt so lucky to be able to document their day, their love. thank you for making me feel so welcomed windsen & ashley…thank you for trusting me to capture your day, for being up for anything & for just being so awesome to work with.congrats to the cutest new married couple in town! i know you two will live the happiest life together & i could not be happier for you! i love you guys! xo

from the second i met rebecca at starbuck’s to plan their session i was excited about it. she gushed about how cute her husband is & how much she adores him…so adorable. from the second matt opened the door to let me in & started talking about rebecca i knew immediately that he felt the same way she did….as a photographer, how could you not be ecstatic to be able to photograph that kind of love & connection? you two are PRECIOUS together, beautiful inside & out & i couldn’t be happier for you. thank you for welcoming my ideas, welcoming me into your home & contributing to the planning process along the way so much. i feel very lucky to have been your photographer for this exciting time in your life! i am joining in on the anticipation & excitement in waiting to hear if you have a boy or girl! congrats you guys! love yall!

one year ago today. personal pictures of the birthday boy

one year ago today the smiliest, snuggliest, most calm, little miracle came into our lives. and he hasn’t stopped making me happy since. i LOVE you miles ryder garvey! thanks for being my little muffin….you’re perfect just the way you are…but stop growing up! 😉 always remember your brother LOVES YOU. SO MUCH. he is your #1 fan & you are his, too. HAPPY BIRTHDAY FROM ALL THREE OF US! we love you.
