I had a great time with this family! There was no complaining even from the men! And even when they stepped in an ant pile barefoot – impressive! They coordinated their outfits with complimenting colors impeccably to match but not be too matchy – gotta love that. They have a gorgeous second home in Brookshire I have taken pictures at before here so we took advantage of it & chose to have their session there, too. Even with the crazy heat & drought we’ve had it was still gorgeous. Thanks for being so fun & silly, Shaub Family! You guys were so great to work with! Hope you enjoy.

As all you parents know you just never know with kids what is going to happen from day to day. Even the sweetest of kids have rough days just like us adults! You never know if they are tired, off their schedule, hungry, or just plain don’t feel like getting their picture taken (or whatever the case may be) but rough days happen! My session with precious Miss Syd started out rough. I have definitely always been a “kid” person & don’t mind the challenges that can come up with kids & pictures. Having a three year old of my own, I know the possibilities. I tried all my usual tricks – music, my squeaky chicken, a fun little set, time to relax/talk/get to know each other, a nice little walk, letting her make the choices but she just wasn’t feeling it. You can’t blame her! She had to wake up early & probably wanted to be in bed 🙂 Her mom & I decided to be patient & not give up. I am SO glad Sydnee has such a sweet & patient mom who agreed to stick it out with me because 20 minutes later we broke through & saw that sweet angelic smile we were hoping for! She just needed some time. Good job Syb! I am so proud of you! And I had fun taking your pictures! Hope you have a great 3rd birthday in November!!!

Kelly & I go way back to a brief period of time where we worked at the same school & didn’t even know it until the session started. Small world! Kelly & Will have the most adorable kids.
