I am in the first week of an Advanced Composition class right now through Clickinmoms with Sarah Wilkerson (CM offers awesome classes). She is challenging us to see the potential in every opportunity, to capture things in ways that challenges you & makes people be intrigued in a “wow, I didn’t see that in that way!” I am inspired 🙂 I keep seeing things happen right before me & picturing all the different ways I could capture it creatively. I wish I could have my camera with me 24/7…wish there were more hours in the day…..wish my kid was easier to photograph…wish I could photograph everything now. I am pushing myself to see differently & to stop & think about it even more! This marble activity & the book store trip is just a little something I did for class.
I DEFINITELY want to do this bookstore set again soon. It was very late & everyone was cranky plus Barnes & Noble was PACKED & I felt a little silly. We were in & out in no time. I didn’t get to stop & take time to create what I wanted to create. I think next time I will try a less mainstream book store like this one – Blue Willow!
For the preassignment we had to write 3 things that we want to be….3 things we want to be described as by others….3 words we want to embody our work (I think I made that word up, is embody appropriate there?!). Anyway, I came up with 3 for the class but they constantly evolve & change, are added to & deleted…I have them written on the wall in my office. I have already added to it, as you can see 🙂
